Die Casting Production Leader Job Description

A Castings Aluminum Leadman receives and counts inventory items, packs and unpacks such items and records receipt information manually or through a computer system. He also cleans and maintains supplies, examines stock items to determine potential defects and reports damages to a superior. He or She is as well responsible for overseeing the whole shift of cells. In the production department there are several cells that are run by Team Leaders who answer to the Production Leader. The production leader is responsible for the shift in which he or she is working in.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Leadman performs general physical activities throughout the course of the day.
  • Handles and moves materials such as metal, parts, and tooling.
  • Controls machines and processes performed by individual cells.
  • Performs the necessary tasks aptly.
  • He often uses forklifts to transport tooling and parts.
  • Wraps pallets and label shipments.
  • Manual dexterity and good vision are also helpful.
